*RESOLUTION FOR THE 1st BUSINESS MEETING OF THE NAEMSS PARLIAMENTARY COUNCIL(NPC)*

_HELD AT BUKAR IBRAHIM HALL ON SUNDAY, 28th of November 2021_
.. _the apex students' policy making body of the School of Earth and Mineral Science_

Upon the concluded 1st business meeting of the NPC, the following were resolved;

🔸 The minute of the last business meeting was abducted.

🔸 *Announcement*
It was announced that the SEC members were available to present their supplementary budget. Also, it was announced that motions should be formally printed henceforth, for proper documentation.

🔸 *Committee Report*:
✔️ *E.D.C:* It was reported that the code of conduct presented in the last business meeting, is still valid and intact, thus, the absential need of a new code of conduct.
✔️ *Sport Committee:* The committee reports their plans to organize a sport program to be tagged, “Staff Adviser Cup”. The sport program is centered on track and field events.
✔️ *Academic Committee:* The plan to organize fresher’s orientation was announced and also, how it is intended to use the program to promote NPC awareness to all freshers.
🔸 *Business of the day:*
✔️ *Supplementary Budget Presentation:* The supplementary budget was presented by the treasurer in the absence of the financial secretary.
✔️ Mr. President and the Treasurer were implored to corporate with the Financial Secretary to get the statement of account from the bank.
✔️ Emphasis was laid on the jersey budget, elaborating why it should be treated with utmost urgency. However, it was clarified that a formal letter will be needed to make this work.
✔️ The SEC members were asked to prepare a detailed supplementary budget.
🔸 *Matters arising:*
✔️ A motion was raised to review the dismissal of the General Secretary of the Association. The dismissed General Secretary is further invited to present his letter of apology to the house.
