Exodus Chapter 38.

The Alter of Burnt Offering;

The making , the descriptions and spiritual representation of tabernacle furniture.

Let us regard the Lord Jesus Christ while reading of the furniture of the tabernacle.

The pieces of silver showed the purity of the truth upon which the church is founded.

While looking at the altar of burnt-offering, let us see Jesus. In him, his righteousness, and salvation, is a full and sufficient offering for sin.
In the laver of regeneration, by his Holy Spirit, let our souls be washed, and they shall be clean; and as the people offered willingly, so may our souls be made willing.

The Tabernacle and the Alter of Incense.

Exodus Chapter 30
In Today's chapter; God gave following instructions to Moses :

I.concerning the altar of incense (verse 1-10)

II. Concerning the ransom-money which the Israelites were to pay, when they were numbered (v. 11-16).

III. Concerning the laver of brass, which was set for the priests to wash in (v. 17-21).

IV. Concerning the making up of the anointing oil, and the use of it (v. 22-33).

V. Concerning the incense and perfume which were to be burned on the golden altar (v. 34, etc.).

Let Survey this Chapter.

The altar of incense represented the son of God in his human nature, and the daily incense burned typified his pleading, the continual intercession of christ for Gods children.
Also, the blood of atonement applied once every year denotes the suffering of christ and the greatest sacrifice (v. 1-10).

The half a shekel ( like fifteen pence of UK money) mentioned in this chapter is to be used for the service of the tabernacle. All are to pay equally, the rich were not to give more and the poor are not to give less. this signifies that the souls of all men are of equal value. therefore, every living soul must contribute significantly to the gospel of christ (v 11-16)

The large Vessel holding water set near the door of the tabernacle is for Aaron and his son to wash their hands and feet anytime they want to come into the tabernacle. Typically, this teaches us Purity and cleansing for the service of God. holy is our God, daily repentance of our sins by the blood of Jesus makes us worthy before the Lord. (v. 16-21)

The incense burnt upon the golden altar was prepared of sweet spices and sweet -smelling savour, that pleased God, and thus, God kept his people in mind by doing this. The incense was not to be used by anybody, jest with or abuse. sacred to show the excellence of holiness.
