I am still smiling and a little emotional thinking about yesterday.
Sharing my birthday with my son Donald is already special on its own, but the amount of love I received made it even more unforgettable. My phone was buzzing non-stop from morning till night… calls, messages, long write-ups, prayers. At some point, I just had to sit down and take it all in. I tried to respond to everyone, I really did, but honestly, even a robot wouldn’t have kept up with that volume of notifications
Some of your messages brought tears to my eyes. It felt like people had been waiting for that moment just to say the kindest things to me. I am deeply grateful. Truly.
Let me quickly say this with love… my male friends, una try o, but next time let the alerts follow the “happy birthday” messages too 😂 I appreciate you all regardless.
To my beautiful female friends, ah… you people wrote essays! So much love, so many kind words, I felt it deeply. Thank you for always showing up for me the way you do.
To my family, I don’t even know where to start. You are my backbone, my safe place, my everything. Thank you for the constant love and support. And to my wife and daughter here with me in England, you made the day even more special. Being together, celebrating as a family, created memories I will hold onto for a long time.
To my principal, the Executive Governor of Ondo State, Dr. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa thank you for reaching out despite your busy schedule. That meant a lot to me.
And to the Yemie Fash FANmily, what you did touched my heart deeply. Cooking and going out to feed people on the streets of Akure on my behalf while I was away… that kind of love and thoughtfulness is rare. I appreciate you all so much.
The love was overwhelming in the best way possible, and I don’t take any of it for granted.
