THE BEGINNING OF TRANSFORMATION
(Being the text of the message delivered by Pastor E. O. Oluwaniyi at the inauguration of Christ Apostolic Church Sanctuary of Power, a new Assembly)
Text: Genesis 1.1-5.
"In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. 2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.
3 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light. 4 And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness. 5 And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day." Genesis 1.1-5.
INTRODUCTION
God does things with a purpose. He knew the end from the beginning. He knew before we were born that there would be today. The very first time I was here some years ago, I had a premonition, that the House of God would be here sited to expel darkness from this vicinity, but I could not voice it out to the owner. Today history is being made as the thoughts and the intents of God's heart is being made known unto men.
UNVEILING THE POWER OF GOD IN THIS SANCTUARY
This Sanctuary is a place where:
1. God's Presence is of essence. Darkness cannot stand His Presence here.
2. His glory is made manifest. God's glory is here to stay. Men and women will come here to tap into this to their own advantage.
3. God's power is seen in manifestations, Exodus 19.
4. Where God's voice echoes continuously, consistently and constantly. This place, by revelation, is so configured to echo God's voice on a global scale for all to hear and turn to Him.
5. Holiness and righteous living is a lifestyle. There is no room for anything that defiles or makes a lie, Revelation 21.27.
6. Darkness cannot hide. There is no room, according to the divine framework, for darkness to hide or hibernate.
7. Deliverance in the Holy Spirit is assured. As many as would FLOW with the move of God will experience divine touch and release from bandages by the reason of the anointing, Isaiah 10.27.
8. Where living in the Refuge is given, Psalm 46.1. Here God is our Refuge, our present help all the times.
9. Light rules. Hidden works of darkness are here to be exposed by the Light of Christ which is abundantly available in the Sanctuary.
10. Comfort of people are assured, because Christ, the God of comfort is here to superintendent.
GOD'S AGENDA IN THIS NEW CHURCH
As read in the Lesson, God's eternal agenda for this Church would be the following among others:
1. To rid this community and lives from the grip of darkness that has engulfed it.
2. To create order in the midst of current formlessness and voidness.
3. To establish His Presence by His Spirit to control events and matters here.
4. To proclaim the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ which is able to deliver and to safe unto the uttermost.
5. To establish a new regime of the reign of Christ under His eternal Light because He is the Light of the World. The Bible records, "Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the Light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life." John 8.12. He has also made us the Light of this world, Matthew 5.14. As we represent Him here, our light as a Church, will shine brightly in the firmament of this environment and our voice will be heard globally from this sanctuary, in Jesus' name.
CONCLUSION
This is our mandate. We are here to execute the mandate God gave us. We are here as instruments in His hand. We here today surrender to His Will. We say, Lord, use us according to your will. We pledge our utmost commitment. We pledge our person, possession, power, profession, and our physical and spiritual endowments to make this a reality. Lord, here are we, use us. May we be able to live up to this expectation, in Jesus' name.
