It provided room for reflection, evaluation and dialogue focused on strengthening collective action, measure progress and sustainable plans to address gender based violence.

Throwback high level event of Susew Human Development Foundation in partnership with CIVICUS on "Defenders and Diplomats Dialogue” convening the diplomatic community, CSOs and journalists such as The European Union, US Embassy, France Embassy, Australia High Commission, Embassy of Belgium, Embassy of Czech, Embassy of Germany, Joint Civic Defense Fund, Embassy of Switzerland, Embassy of Norway, Canadian High Embassy, Embassy of Portugal, Centre for Journalism, Innovation and Development (CJID), Hope Behind Bars, Foundation for Investigative Journalism (FIJ), Lawyers Alert, and the Nigerian Network of NGOs.

The deliberations were guided by the theme 'freedom of expression, shrinking civic space in Nigeria’, to find strategic solutions to the challenges in the civic space, share ideas and transformative actions, and promote human rights and press freedom resilience. Also highlighting ongoing efforts of the diplomatic missions in Nigeria in the civic space, including gender, and the environment.
