As law schools, universities and governments continue to discuss and adjust their regulations regarding travel and in-person meetings in the wake of the pandemic, we must plan for the 2021 Jessup Competition.

To ensure that the Jessup Competition does not, even inadvertently, contribute to the spread of this virus, the 2021 International Rounds will not take place in Washington, DC next April.

For the first time ever, the 2021 Jessup Competition will be consolidated into a fully global online event. Each and every team that registers for the 2021 Jessup will be invited to compete in the virtual Global Rounds – with Teams competing against opponents from around the world. The Global Rounds will take place over a five-week period, beginning in mid-March 2021. National and Friendly Rounds will still take place, but all Teams will be eligible for the Global Rounds.

We look forward to bringing together, if only online, history’s largest gathering of international law students, legal practitioners, scholars and judges. Years from now, they will say of the Jessup Class of 2021, “Today, world leaders look upon each other differently, because they first met there, online, as friends.”

Please visit www.ilsa.org for more details and information about the 2021 Jessup Competition, and read the Official Announcement: https://bit.ly/32E1h68

Team registration will open on 7 September!

According to the UNDP in 2015; Women make up nearly half of political party membership, however, the percentage of women members who are active in party structures declines as the geographic level increases.

Why is this?

It's because there is a low participation of women in Leadership and Decision making. This is also applicable to other sectors.

Join Pan African Women Network in addressing women inclusion in Leadership and Decision making, as we prepare for our maiden summit and launching ceremony.

Registration commences soon, watch out!
