We’re kicking off this year’s Voices Against Violence (VAV) series with an important conversation on how harmful narratives shape conversations around FGM, sexual violence, and survivor voices.
Earlier this month, global advocacy called for Zero Tolerance for Female Ge***al Mutilation (FGM) a reminder that harmful practices continue to affect the health, dignity, and wellbeing of women and girls.
And recently, public debates and misinformation surrounding sexual assault allegations are influencing how survivors are believed or silenced often with profound effects on their mental health and willingness to seek justice.
Join us and our speakers, Gloria Ukamaka Christopher and Stacey Ekpenyong, for a powerful dialogue on advocacy, accountability, and collectively protecting survivor voices.

Today, on the , we’re amplifying a deeply important conversation, the realities of sexual and gender-based violence experienced by women and girls with disabilities.
Damilare, an intern with us through the Irede Foundation– Disability Empowerment and Employability Project (DEEP), shares a true account of abuse faced by a deaf woman. A reality many women with disabilities continue to face silently.
To create safer communities, we must listen, understand, and support deaf women and girls, without judgement, without delay.
Their voices matter. Their safety matters. Their stories must be heard.
If you have witnessed, experienced or supported someone through violence, you are not alone. You can reach out, speak up, or share your experience with us, your story could help someone else find help and healing.
Let’s stand together to end violence against women and girls with Disabilities.
🧡 Raise awareness.
🧡 Speak up.
🧡 Support survivors.

It’s that time of year again when we UNiTE with one voice and one demand: End Violence Against Women, Girls, and Children.
As technology evolves and more young people spend time online, technology-facilitated violence is rising at an alarming rate. From cyberbullying and doxxing to online stalking, hacking, and hateful or threatening messages, the digital space is becoming increasingly unsafe; especially for women, girls, and young people.
🚨At Fight Against R**e Initiative, our message is clear and urgent: 🚨
Digital violence is real.
Clicks, comments, and DMs can cause real harm.
We must take collective action to build a safer, more inclusive digital world for all.
Here’s how you can take action, starting today:
✅ Call out harmful online behaviour when you see it
✅ Report accounts and platforms that perpetrate abuse
✅ Don’t stay silent, speak up
✅ Support young people and survivors in your community
✅ Help create online spaces where everyone feels safe
Digital safety is a shared responsibility. Let’s unite to end digital violence ➡️ on every timeline, platform, and screen.
