Despite producing nearly 40% of the world’s shea nuts, Nigeria earns just 1% of the $6.5bn global market. The new policy aims to transform raw exports into refined shea products, creating jobs, empowering rural women, and increasing annual earnings from $65m to $300m.

Local Governments in Delta State received over N785 billion in federal allocations between 2007 and 2024. Ughelli North received the highest allocation with N40.1 billion, while Patani received the least with N25.4 billion.
