Growth generally refers to an increase, development, or improvement over time. The meaning of "growth" depends on the context in which it’s used. To every field growth has its own interpretation.

In construction, growth can be seem as an idea being built based on a plan. Like for example, you building a house is planting a building which was carefully drafted on a piece of paper which is now interpreted in the physical.

Note every growth has a phase which is the seed, the weeding of land, the planting, and the harvest. In construction the seed is an idea,the weeding is the planning stage,the planting is building stage and the harvest is the finishing stage.
