The past 72 hours felt just like a movie—Aba residents stood still as a mammoth crowd came out to celebrate His Excellency, Dr. Alex Chioma Otti.

So glad I had the opportunity to photograph these moments, as His Excellency made history by commissioning 14 roads in a single day.

The fourth picture slide captures an emotional moment when a trader gifted him a pack of bottled water. Despite the massive crowd, the Governor asked for a photo to be taken.

MTN CEO Karl Toriola x Governor Otti

Did you notice how sharp and colorful these images are? That’s because the environment and subjects are full of bold, primary colors—Red, Yellow, Blue.

It’s also giving MTN yellow, and the outfits worn by His Excellency and the MTN CEO really made the visuals pop!

Colors mean everything to me.
Do you love the images as much as I do?

Big shoutout to Photoshop Camera Raw for helping me bring them to life!

This moment captures a powerful collaboration between MTN and the Abia State Government.

As a photographer, I don’t just take pictures like most random photographers. When I shoot, I aim to tell a story or create something unique, rather than just capturing a person’s face.

Look at this image— I could have simply taken a photo of His Excellency giving a speech, but I wanted to include the flag and the reason we are here. This day marks a significant political shift, as a House member transitions from PDP to the governor’s party, Labour Party. The flag beside the governor represents the party he stands with.

The crème de la crème!!!

Last night was truly a day to remember. I had the honor of joining Governor Alex Otti at an event hosted by Dr. to celebrate him. One thing that stood out to me was the presence of many billionaires, most of whom are Aba people! They are eager to return to the state, and some have already started investing.

For decades, many of these individuals left Aba due to the poor economic conditions and the failures of past administrations. Seeing these successful people—many of whom grew up in Aba and are now captains of industries—filled me with pride.

As some of them spoke, they expressed their support for Governor Otti. “Governor, I love what you are doing, and we’re solidly behind you,” they said.

Before you criticize them for not investing earlier, remember this: nobody invests where they won’t get a return. Many Aba businesses collapsed because of the damages done by past administrations. Take, for instance, Port Harcourt Road, which was abandoned for years. That road alone destroyed lives and livelihoods. Companies couldn’t survive, and countless people lost their jobs. Ask questions—it’s a painful history!

But last night, seeing those billionaires with their Rolls Royces celebrating Governor Otti gave me hope. They’re coming back to Abia!

To Ndi Aba: return to your first love. Otti is here, and change is happening.
