Dr. Chimaobi Desmond Anyaso (Ofuji), has expressed profound gratitude to party members across the constituency for entrusting him with the party’s ticket following his victory in the just-concluded primaries.

In a statement issued shortly after the exercise, Anyaso thanked members of the Labour Party across the 13 wards of Bende Federal Constituency for the overwhelming support and confidence reposed in him.

He described his emergence as the party’s flag bearer as a collective victory for all party faithful and the people of Bende who share a common vision of progress, unity, and sustainable development.

“I am sincerely grateful to our leaders, stakeholders, ward executives, delegates, supporters, and every party member who stood with us throughout this process.



Your trust, support, and belief in our shared vision inspire me to remain steadfast in my commitment to service and the advancement of our constituency,” he stated.

The Labour Party candidate also paid special tribute to Governor Alex Chioma Otti, OFR, whom he described as a pillar of leadership within the party, commending his dedication to strengthening the Labour Party and delivering impactful governance.

Anyaso noted that the mandate bestowed on him comes with great responsibility, pledging to represent the aspirations of the people with humility, dedication, and integrity.

“This victory is not mine alone; it belongs to every son and daughter of Bende who believes that together we can achieve greater progress for our constituency. I will carry this mandate with utmost responsibility and commitment,” he said.

Expressing optimism ahead of the 2027 general election, Anyaso called for continued unity and support among party members and supporters, stressing that the journey towards greater development for Bende had only just begun.

He expressed confidence that with God’s grace and the collective efforts of the people, the Labour Party would build on its primary election success and secure victory at the polls.

“By the grace of God, we shall move from victory at the primaries to victory at the general election. Together, we will work towards a brighter future for Bende Federal Constituency,” he added

Frontline politician and philanthropist, Dr. Chimaobi Desmond Anyaso, popularly known as Ofuji, has been officially screened and cleared by the Labour Party to contest for the Bende Federal Constituency seat in the House of Representatives ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Speaking shortly after the screening exercise, Anyaso described the clearance as a major step in his political journey and a renewed push for purposeful leadership and quality representation for the people of Bende Federal Constituency.

He said his aspiration reflects the collective desire of the people to end years of neglect and unfulfilled promises, while ushering in responsive and impactful representation at the National Assembly.

According to him, the growing support for his candidacy across communities in Bende is a sign that the people are eager for change and effective leadership.

“The movement is growing stronger, the hope is alive, and the message is clear, no more abandoned promises and no more neglect. The time for purposeful representation is now,” he stated.

Anyaso further noted that he would formally unveil his campaign agenda in the coming months as political activities ahead of the 2027 elections gather momentum.

Supporters of the Labour Party aspirant also reaffirmed their commitment to mobilising support across the constituency under the slogan, “Ofuji, Every Step of the Way.”
