I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave His Son for me. Galatians 2:20.
For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. When Christ who is our life appears, then you also will appear with Him in glory. Colossians 3:3-4.
The only living that the Father recognizes and approves to be lived by any man on earth today is Christ life. He is the one whom the Father approved. ..."This is My beloved Son, in Whom I am well pleased". By Christ's life of obedience to the Father, even to the point of obedience to die on the cross for the sins of many, He was pleasing to the Father. Before His(Christ's) coming, everyone was living in disobedience to God's will. No one cared for God's glory, truth and righteousness. Everyone did what was right in his own eye. Thus God had no representation on earth. Everyone manifested the nature of Satan. God seemingly then, was the loser on earth. But when Christ came, He did not do His own will, but the will of Him Who sent Him. He lived to show forth God's righteousness, glory and truth. He was the express image of God, and the brightness of His glory. God was pleased with His life, and therefore made Him the prince of life, to give His life to all who will believe on Him. God in Christ ended all other forms of life that is apart from His Son's life, so that all who now live should not live for themselves, but for Him who died for us, and was raised again, that is Christ. Christ is now our life; and our living is in Him. In Him we now live, move, and have our being. The life we live now is through faith in Him. We have the life that is pleasing to God; Christ life. This is the highest and the most glorious life approved of God to be lived on earth by any man. May the Lord by His grace get us rooted in Him, to live Christ as our life. This life is through faith in Christ.
To this end I also labour, striving according to His working which works in me mightly. Colossians 1:29.
For it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure. Philippians 2:13.
According to the apostle Paul in these verses, it is God Who is working out His purpose in us. It is evident then, that we acknowledge the workings of God in our lives, and then to respond to such workings. This means that we do not have any work of our own to do, but rather to do the works of Him who is at work in us. We need not struggle to do any work, but to respond to God's working in us. The Lord said, I can do nothing of My own self, but what I see the Father do, the same work that I do. This is also the way God has ordained for us to live, by depending on His working within us. Paul had the same experience by saying, it is no longer I that live, but Christ Who lives in me, the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God Who loved me, and gave Himself for me. God's mighty power is at work in us as those who believed in Christ. We need to always acknowledge this power, and flow along with Him, and not struggle in our ownselves to do anything or any work for God. God is the one Who does the work. May the Lord help us to cease from our own works, and enter into rest in His own work. The Lord said we will find rest whenever we take up His own yoke. Our own work and labour is burdensome, but the Lord's yoke is easy, and His own burden is light. Dear saints may the Lord help us all to enter into rest in God's work. God has made Christ all things for us. Who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption. 1Corinthians1:30. Everything has been worked out for us in Christ, Who also is working in us, to make us willing, and also the doing of His good pleasure. May we all be drawn to the power that is at work in us, and find the strength in God to do all things. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must in spirit and truth. John chapter 4vs24.
In creating man, God put His Spirit into man, as breathe of life, which became man's life, and source of living. The Spirit of God, formed the spirit of man within Him,Zechariah 14vs1d, that man through his spirit may contact God's Spirit, and God being Spirit, may contact man.It is through such mutual contact, that man may be able to absorb all the fullness of God, and realize God's heart desire of having man be His true image and likeness. Without man's spirit, all that God is, and that He desires to transmit into man cannot be achieved. So we must know our human spirit, as the innermost part of our being, distinct from our soul, where God through Christ has come in, to dwell, with all the fullness of His being, to supply us with all His riches for our enjoyment. Our spirit was regenerated(brought to life anew), when we received Christ into us, through faith in His redeeming death, and in His resurrection. Man's spirit was dead when the first man, Adam led the entire human race to experience death, through his sin of disobedience. From then on, man lost contact with God, and with everything that may issue out of God towards man. On the reverse, man was exposed to everything of Satan, including death, wickedness, rebellion, destructiveness, and everything evil. Been shut out from God, as a result of our deadened spirit, unable to contact God any longer, we were on a course of eternal destruction away from the presence of God. But, God, Who is rich in mercy, and for His great love, rescued us through the redemption work of Christ; having our spirit regenerated, that contact with Him, may be restored, again receiving all His fullness, enjoying all His riches that is in Christ through the Spirit. Therefore, we must always care for our spirit, allowing nothing to disturb it, it is the only means of our contact with God. May we always maintain a contrite spirit. God is in our spirit.
