Ongava

The bush is full of stars, but not all of them are giants.

Look a little closer and you'll discover some of Ongava's smaller specials. Watch a troop of banded mongooses busily foraging together, keep an eye out for the fearless honey badger on its nightly rounds, or spot a rock hyrax basking on sun-warmed granite outcrops.

Did you know? Despite their guinea pig-like appearance, rock hyraxes are among the closest living relatives of elephants, sharing surprising similarities in their feet, teeth and even communication.
