JOIN OUR TEAM: OPERATIONS CO-ORDINATOR

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Operations Coordinator to join our transport business. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the business, including collections, deliveries, quotes, customer service, staff training, vehicle maintenance, and other related activities.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Oversee and manage the daily operations of the transport business, ensuring that all collections and deliveries are completed on time and to a high standard.
- Provide quotes to customers and work closely with the sales team to ensure that customer needs are met.
- Respond to customer inquiries and complaints, providing a high level of customer service and resolving any issues that arise.
- Ensure that all staff are trained and equipped to carry out their duties effectively and efficiently.
- Manage the maintenance and repair of vehicles, ensuring that they are in good working condition at all times.
- Implement and manage processes and procedures to improve efficiency and streamline operations.
- Monitor and manage key performance indicators, such as on-time delivery rates, customer satisfaction, and staff productivity.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, including health and safety and transport regulations.
- Manage budgets and resources effectively, ensuring that costs are controlled and resources are utilised efficiently.
- Work closely with other departments within the business to ensure that operations are aligned with overall business objectives.

REQUIREMENTS:

- 5+ years of experience in operations management.
- Experience in the transportation industry is an advantage.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with customers, staff, and other stakeholders.
- Self discipline and motivation.
- Ability to manage self and team.
- A strong customer focus and a commitment to delivering high-quality service.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team.
- In-depth knowledge of transport regulations and compliance requirements is an advantage.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Own transport is an advantage.
- Ability and willingness to work over weekends.
