🚨 Coaching Shake-Up for Namibia Rugby Ahead of Africa Cup

The Namibia Rugby Union has confirmed that Chrysander Botha has stepped down as Head Coach of the national team, citing increased professional commitments outside of rugby.

In a swift response to ensure continuity ahead of the upcoming Africa Cup, the NRU has appointed former international Darryl de la Harpe as Technical Assistant to the national team. Known for his rugby IQ and on-field leadership during his playing days, de la Harpe will support the coaching staff as they prepare for a crucial competitive phase.

Director of Rugby Jacques Burger has taken the reins in leading the national team’s technical group, as Namibia continues its strategic build-up toward qualification for the 2027 Rugby World Cup.

The NRU says all operational and performance plans remain on track.
