On 20 May 2026, the Ongwediva Trade Fair Society (OATF) and the Namibia Trade Forum (NTF), with support from the Ministry of International Relations and Trade, hosted a strategic stakeholder engagement aimed at strengthening collaboration and aligning efforts to promote trade and investment opportunities in Namibia and beyond.

The engagement brought together key stakeholders from both the public and private sectors to discuss initiatives that enhance domestic and regional trade, market access, investment opportunities, and export growth.

Deputy Minister of International Relations and Trade, Hon. Jenelly Matundu, delivered the keynote address and emphasized the importance of promoting domestic and regional trade to drive Namibia’s economic development. She highlighted that the Ongwediva Trade Fair continues to provide a valuable platform for Namibian businesses and entrepreneurs to connect with various industries and countries such as Limpopo, Botswana, and many others, making it one of Namibia’s largest and most impactful trade platforms.

The Ministry further expressed its support for the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between NTF and OATF, recognizing its importance in fostering greater economic growth and advancing opportunities under the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).

We extend our sincere appreciation to all strategic stakeholders for their participation, unwavering support, and continued cooperation in strengthening trade relations, promoting investment, and advancing Namibia’s economic growth through increased market access and exports.
