Beneath the calm surface of Vilanculos Bay, something remarkable is happening. The Indigo Seahorse Adventures project, started by the Mangalisse Village Fisheries Council, is protecting the local seahorse population through community-led conservation, and welcoming visitors to be part of that story. This is eco-tourism at its most real. A visit that does more than take a photograph.
