On 11th May 2026, Oncode Laboratory hosted an impactful CME session with the Respiratory Medicine and Pathology Units at Hospital Tuanku Jaafar Seremban (HTJS). The room was packed with forward-thinking specialists, medical officers, and allied health professionals all focused on one critical goal: 𝗼𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗶𝘀𝘀𝘂𝗲 𝘀𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗡𝗼𝗻-𝗦𝗺𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗖𝗲𝗹𝗹 𝗟𝘂𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗿 (𝗡𝗦𝗖𝗟𝗖) 𝗺𝗼𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘂𝗹𝗮𝗿 𝗱𝗶𝗮𝗴𝗻𝗼𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗰𝘀.

We broke down the distinct clinical roles of both technologies, focusing on how Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) uncovers actionable biomarkers that traditional Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) might miss, directly impacting targeted therapy decisions.

🩺 𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗣𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗔𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀:
We highlighted our subsidised diagnostic program in partnership with AstraZeneca. Crucially, we discussed how having both tissue and liquid biopsy options in the clinical toolkit gives clinicians the flexibility to choose the right tool at the right time—ensuring tissue-scarce patients don't miss out on vital molecular profiling.

📋 𝗙𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗟𝗮𝗯 𝘁𝗼 𝗕𝗲𝗱𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲:
Through real-world case studies, we walked through practical, seamless workflows—from initial sample collection and rebiopsy strategies to test ordering—ensuring clinicians can implement these insights immediately without operational friction.

As precision medicine continues to redefine oncology, the ability to translate 𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗼𝗺𝗶𝗰 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘀 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗼 𝗰𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 has never been more important.

On 8 May 2026, Oncode had the privilege of conducting a CME session with the 𝗢𝗯𝘀𝘁𝗲𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗰𝘀 & 𝗚𝘆𝗻𝗮𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘆 𝗗𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗮𝘁 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗠𝗮𝗹𝗮𝘆𝗮 𝗠𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗲 (𝗨𝗠𝗠𝗖), focusing on the evolving role of 𝗡𝗲𝘅𝘁-𝗚𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗦𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗴 (𝗡𝗚𝗦) in gynecologic cancer management.

A key discussion centred on the importance of 𝗛𝗼𝗺𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝗼𝘂𝘀 𝗥𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗯𝗶𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗗𝗲𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝘆 (𝗛𝗥𝗗) 𝘁𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 in guiding targeted therapies such as 𝗣𝗔𝗥𝗣 𝗶𝗻𝗵𝗶𝗯𝗶𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘀 for 𝗢𝘃𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗻, 𝗙𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝗧𝘂𝗯𝗲, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗣𝗿𝗶𝗺𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗣𝗲𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗼𝗻𝗲𝗮𝗹 𝗰𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗿𝘀 — reinforcing how molecular profiling is shaping more personalised treatment pathways.

We also shared how our collaboration with 𝗔𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗭𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗰𝗮 helps improve 𝗽𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 through subsidised HRD testing, ensuring advanced genomic insights remain within reach for more patients.

Beyond HRD, the session explored Oncode’s expanding precision oncology portfolio, including our 𝗘𝗻𝗱𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗿 𝗡𝗚𝗦 𝗣𝗮𝗻𝗲𝗹 and 𝗣𝗮𝗻-𝗖𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗿 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗵𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗣𝗮𝗻𝗲𝗹, designed to uncover clinically actionable insights across diverse tumour profiles.

Head and neck cancers are among the most preventable — yet they remain frequently diagnosed at advanced stages.

Persistent symptoms such as a sore throat, unexplained hoarseness, difficulty swallowing, or a lump in the neck are often attributed to minor conditions. When left unaddressed, delayed attention can lead to diagnosis at more advanced stages, where treatment becomes more complex.

To***co use, alcohol consumption, and HPV infection account for the majority of cases — many of which are preventable with the right awareness and timely action.

Advances in molecular diagnostics now allow clinicians to better classify these cancers, enabling more precise and personalised treatment strategies.
