Visiting This World

Flying over this unique landscape offered a different perspective on its geological features.

The sky was cloudy, diffusing the light evenly across the vast expanse. It softened the edges of the distant mountains, making them recede into a bluish haze that felt both infinite and ethereal.

What caught my eye were the patches of truly exposed dark ground, almost like scars on the surface, hinting at the forces that shaped this place over millennia.

Iceland is one of my favorite places in the world, and it's because of views like this.

The natural world offers many moments of quiet intensity. This bird found an opportune perch to hunt. The thrill of the natural world doing what it does isn't always on large scale, but is in the small areas of nature, too.
