Indian martial arts refers to the fighting systems of the Indian subcontinent. Nowadays these art forms are used in rituals, celebrations, in sports, means of physical fitness, as a self defence but earlier it is used for warfare. Fun fact, Kalaripayattu is the oldest martial art in India. It was introduced as martial art by a legend, sage Parasurama, who built temples. This art is used as a means of unarmed self-defence and a way to achieve physical fitness today.

The beauty of the world lies in the diversity of its people. With that being said , we would love to inform everyone that Indian Cultural Day ( ICD) will be held very soon. The programme offers all the students of University Malaysia Sabah and the residents of W.P Labuan the exposure of indian culture that will be showcased through varies activities such as games and performances. So, wait are you waiting for, do come along and join this amazing programme with a big smile.

The Indian Cultural Day will be held in accordance with the following provisions :
