I have been a laggard in my posting. 😅 This is a logo design I completed in 2023.

A friend approached me to create a logo for his new freelance venture. The brief was to design a visually captivating logo for 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗛𝗶𝗹𝗹, a massage service provider. The brand name plays on the similarity in sound between ‘hill’ and ‘heal,’ highlighting the therapeutic nature of the service. He also dreams of building a tiny, self-sustaining house on a small hill, which inspired the use of earthy tones to create a warm and inviting atmosphere.

My visual concept for the logo draws inspiration from the vertical arrangement of the word ‘Hill,’ which resembles the shape of five fingers, symbolizing a hand. To further enhance its meaning, I replaced the Roman letters ‘-ill’ with the Chinese character 山 = hill, adding a transformative element to the design. This integration not only enhances the minimalist visual appeal but also evokes a sense of tranquillity and Zen.
