Jan–Feb is goal-setting season for many teams, and it’s easy for it to feel like just another KPI exercise. But goals only really stick when people understand how their work connects to the bigger picture, have clear (and measurable) targets, and actually feel part of the process. It’s not just about bonuses or ticking boxes, it’s about growth, accountability, and having regular check-ins to keep momentum going. When done well, goal setting isn’t a form you fill in once a year. It’s an ongoing conversation that builds real ownership and better results.
