In Bangkok, 110 youth volunteers from 11 countries across ASEAN came together with one shared purpose to design better solutions for the communities they serve.

Held at the ASEAN Centre, Chulalongkorn University, our Design Thinking workshop for Maybank eMpowering Youths Across ASEAN brought together youth volunteers to understand community needs, define meaningful challenges and prototype practical solutions.

A collaboration between Maybank Foundation and ASEAN Foundation, the programme supports youth volunteers to co-design and deliver community-driven projects with CSOs and social enterprises across the region.

Satu Creative was honoured to deliver the workshop, led by our CEO, Azuar Zainuddin, as part of the participants’ learning journey.

Beyond the tools and frameworks, the experience also created space for leadership, cross-cultural learning and thoughtful collaboration.

We were grateful to be part of their journey as they prepare to bring their ideas into communities across ASEAN.

How do leaders create the conditions for creativity to thrive?

This week, we had the privilege of facilitating our Creative Spark: Leadership for Creativity workshop with senior leaders from Quorum Software, a leading provider of energy software worldwide, with participants joining from Houston, Brisbane, Kuala Lumpur and Jakarta.

Together, we explored three essential leadership practices:

• Leading with a strong point of view
• Leading through culture
• Leading alongside your team

As organisations navigate increasing complexity and change, creativity is no longer the responsibility of a few. It is a leadership capability that helps teams adapt, innovate, and create value.
