Dr. Aaronn Avit Ajeng is a dedicated and detail-oriented early career researcher with a strong background in Biology and Biochemistry from the Institute of Biological Sciences, Universiti Malaya, specializing in plant systems biology and metabolomics. He investigates the effects of sustainable technologies, such as bio-organic amendments, on the expression of plant metabolites and their physiologi
cal responses to environmental stressors. He has received extensive training in plants and cancer systems biology for his pre-doctoral program from the Institute of Systems Biology (INBIOSIS) Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM). Dr. Ajeng’s interdisciplinary expertise also spans bioengineering and applied microbiology, with additional experience in tissue engineering (stem cells) and regenerative medicine. With over 6 years in academia, he has led research in plants systems and physiology and sustainability, supervised undergraduate and graduate research, and published over 19 papers, including 12 in Scopus-indexed journals and 2 in Top 10% journals. He is also a TikTok Affiliate who works with Artificial Intelligence (AI) companies to showcase the use of AI in academics. His doctoral work, BacChar™, a trademarked and patented fertilizer innovation in Malaysia, has received multiple recognitions, including the Malaysian Society of Soil Science (MSSS) Best PhD Thesis 2024, ITEX 2024 Gold and Special Award (Best Innovator), the Human Life Advancement Foundation (HLAF) Award, and he was awarded the Rising Star Scientist Award in 2022 from University of Nottingham for his early commitment and excellence in academic research. He excels in designing and executing complex experiments, analyzing data, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams and stakeholders. Committed to advancing scientific innovation, Dr Ajeng is eager to contribute his skills and knowledge to a dynamic research environment, driving impactful interdisciplinary projects and exploring new scientific avenues.
