I'll be honest — polyester is not usually my first choice of fabric. But suede scuba is different.
The density gives garments real structure, which is why it works so well for the Ryleigh jacket. But where there's movement and drape, like on the Stella cardigan, it falls beautifully.
It insulates without overheating, and the softness against the skin makes it genuinely comfortable to wear all day. It's actually perfect for winter.
I own both a Ryleigh and a Stella in this fabric, and I love wearing-that tells you everything.
This week Marigold has been on the cutting table, and it's one of my favourites because it looks bright but it wears like a classic colour- perfect with neutrals and brights. It was my favourite winter jacket until I lost it some time back. I'm excited to own a new one soon.

Cape Town was hit by a significant storm this week, and our little workshop lost power for forty eight hours. We're back now — and catching up fast. But even a storm couldn't stop a new drop. This week we're introducing two new colourways of our Stella waterfall cardigan. There's been a waterfall cardigan in every collection I've made for nearly twenty years. One of the things I enjoy is finding solutions to problems. During COVID, I was developing product for a boutique that had always imported from overseas — and what I learned from that collaboration changed the way I think about clothing entirely. Multi-season, multi-use, investment pieces you'd reach for year after year. That's how the Ryleigh biker jacket was born. This week we launched it in two new colourways — persimmon and marigold. We couldn't stop at cerise!
Cerise sold out in a week — and we've moved on to something even better. Today we're launching the Ryleigh biker jacket in two new colourways: persimmon and marigold.
