Alhamdulillah - MES Solar latest SolaPV project in Taman Melawati came to the conclusion with issuance of NEM3.0 letter by TNB to the home owner. Don't get me wrong - NEM 3.0 ended June 30, 2025 but vendor/homeowner have 12 months after issuance of SEDA Cert to install the system.
So this is our last NEM3.0 home solution.
We are now promoting SELCO+BESS as no more export to TNB is allowed after the discontinuation of NEM3.0
Would like to take this opportunity to share on price build-up of SLECO+BESS (self consumption + battery energy storage system) which is more expensive than typical NEM3.0 design, namely :-

1) SELCO+BESS need to use a hybrid inverter which is about 50% more expensive vs a typical inverter for NEM set up.
2) While NEM allows for power export to TNB grid, SELCO allows only for own consumption. Excess power is stored in BESS to be utilized at night. These BESS are not cheap and bring about added cost to the design.

So overall price offer for a SELCO+BESS vs NEM3.0 has risen by about 45% more for similar system size (kWP). If any of you folks would like us to survey-propose a SELCO+BESS solution for your home, please feel free to contact the undersigned. Tqsm 🤗
