mutual appreciation for enduring and warm bilateral ties to strengthen the Malaysia-New Zealand economic and security partnership.PM Anwar and PM Luxon have discussed topics of defense and security cooperation, trade and economic relations, people-to-people connections, climate change and disaster management.

Malaysia also has requested New Zealand to provide more places for Malaysian students in new fields in the country, particularly for postgraduates in new areas such as energy transition and food technology.

These meetings will mark a significant step in further strengthening the already robust ties between two nations and open the door to more opportunities for both Malaysians and New Zealanders.
