As kindergarten owner, is there anyone of you guys have a similar experience as Farah?
Farah owned a kindergarten that she had poured all her heart and soul into. As an educator, Farah was passionate about providing quality early childhood education to children in her community. However, one area that constantly gave her headaches was managing fees collection from parents.
The process of collecting fees involved a lot of time and manpower. First, Farah had to ensure that parents were aware of the due date for fees payment. This required sending out reminders via text messages, emails, and phone calls. She also had to provide parents with a breakdown of fees, including any additional charges for extracurricular activities and other expenses.
Once the due date had passed, Farah had to follow up with parents who had yet to make payment. This involved more phone calls and text messages, as well as in-person meetings with parents who had outstanding fees. In some cases, Farah had to negotiate payment plans with parents who were facing financial difficulties.
The process of managing fees collection was not only time-consuming but also emotionally draining for Farah. It took her away from her main focus of educating and caring for the children at her kindergarten.
To make matters worse, the constant chasing of fees and following up with parents caused tension and strain on Farah's relationship with some parents. It was not uncommon for parents to get defensive or angry when reminded about fees payment.
In conclusion, managing fees collection is a crucial aspect of running a kindergarten. It is a time-consuming process that can be emotionally draining and take away from the main focus of educating and caring for children.
