ASEANAPOL Secretariat Participates in INTERPOL–KNPA Breaking Chains III Meeting in Seoul, Republic of Korea
On 8–9 June 2026, the ASEANAPOL Secretariat participated in the INTERPOL–KNPA INFRA-SEAF IV & Breaking Chains III Joint Operational Meeting held in Seoul, Republic of Korea.
During the meeting, the ASEANAPOL Secretariat presented updates on key ASEANAPOL initiatives, including the ASEANAPOL Scam Combat Task Force (ASCOT), a regional effort aimed at strengthening operational coordination, capacity building, and information sharing among ASEANAPOL Member Countries in combating scam-related crimes and online fraud.
The Secretariat also shared ASEANAPOL’s ongoing efforts in enhancing regional cooperation through operational networks, specialized working groups, and capacity development programmes designed to address emerging transnational crime threats.
The meeting concluded successfully and provided an important platform to strengthen cooperation and operational coordination between ASEANAPOL, INTERPOL, the Korean National Police Agency (KNPA), and participating law enforcement agencies from across the region.
In addition, discussions were held regarding future collaboration under the KNPA-led KARE Project, which is expected to further enhance regional law enforcement capabilities, professional exchanges, and cooperative responses to evolving criminal threats.
The ASEANAPOL Secretariat remains committed to working closely with international partners to strengthen regional security, build trusted networks, and advance practical cooperation against transnational crime.

ASEANAPOL Secretariat Participates in Preparatory Coordination Meeting for the 44th ASEANAPOL Conference
Quezon City, Philippines – 3 June 2026
The ASEANAPOL Secretariat participated in the Pre-Conference Coordination Meeting hosted by the Philippine National Police (PNP) on 3-5 June 2026 in preparation for the 44th ASEANAPOL Conference, which will be held in Manila, Philippines.
The meeting was chaired by PLTGEN Bernard M. Banac, Acting Deputy Chief, PNP for Administration, and attended by representatives from relevant Philippine National Police units and the ASEANAPOL Secretariat. Discussions focused on key preparations for the Conference, including conference management, security arrangements, protocol matters, logistics, accommodation, transportation, and coordination mechanisms necessary to ensure the successful conduct of ASEANAPOL’s premier annual gathering.
During the visit, the ASEANAPOL Secretariat and the Host Country also conducted site inspections of the proposed conference venues and facilities to assess operational readiness and ensure that all arrangements meet the requirements for hosting international delegates, Dialogue Partners, Observers, and invited organizations.
In addition, the Secretariat reviewed the proposed social, cultural, and networking programmes to be organized alongside the Conference, including the ASEANAPOL Golf Fellowship Tournament and selected cultural and educational visits for accompanying delegates and distinguished guests. These activities are intended to promote closer interaction, mutual understanding, and stronger professional relationships among ASEANAPOL Member Countries, in keeping with ASEANAPOL’s longstanding tradition of fostering cooperation through both formal and informal engagements.
The meeting and site visits demonstrated the strong commitment of the Host Country and the ASEANAPOL Secretariat to ensuring a productive and successful Conference while further strengthening regional police cooperation in addressing transnational crime and emerging security challenges.
