Help Tulum Dogs Foundation is a registered 501c3 charitable organization, dedicated to sterilizing/vaccinating dogs via free campaigns in Tulum and other parts of the Yucatan peninsula. Flight es**rt or adoptions, please leave message. We are a small grass-roots group and we operate solely on donations and volunteer actions, along with veterinary assistance from Playa Pet Tulum, La Clinica Veterinaria and Alma Animal Clinic (and other local vets as needed). We are not a shelter, in fact, Tulum has no shelters at this time to help homeless animals. Tulum has a huge dog overpopulation, which is even more problematic due to the lack of education and financial means of the Mayan community that dominates the area. Our main goal is to sterilize the majority of dogs in Tulum, however this is a long-term process and we struggle with little resources available to do so. Therefore, our day-to-day focus is to identify and help dogs who live in conditions that range from abusive to negligent, as well as the countless street dogs trying to survive. Please consider making a donation or even better, fostering or adopting one of our dogs who have made the first step from despair to living a life full of love and care.

Ayuda los Perros de Tulum fue creado como un medio para comunicarse y compartir información y fotos de perros en Tulum, Quintana Roo, México que están en el proceso de la asistencia a través de cualquier medio sean necesarios y / o disponible. Somos un grupo local y operamos en donaciones y voluntariado acción, junto con la asistencia veterinaria de Playa Pet Tulum y otros veterinarios locales, según corresponda. No somos un refugio, en realidad Tulum no tiene refugios para animales sin casas. Tulum tiene una enorme sobrepoblación de perros que es aún más problemático debido a la falta de educación y los medios financieros de la comunidad maya que domina la comunidad. Esterilizar la mayoría de los perros en Tulum es nuestro objectivo principal, sin embargo este es un proceso a largo plazo con pocos recursos disponibles para hacerlo. When I asked for help in my last post, so many of you showed up ❤️. Donations came in, kind messages came in, support came in — and I want you to know how deeply grateful I am. Truly. You helped me breathe for a moment, and you reminded me I’m not doing this alone.

Yesterday I paid over $8,000 in bills — and that doesn’t even include my overdue balance at Playa Pet Tulum. I’m now at the point where I need to launch a GoFundMe just to get back above water.

One of the biggest ongoing expenses is boarding.

These six puppies were fast-tracked months ago: fully vetted, vaccinated, sterilized, ready to travel. They were supposed to leave in March. Yet here we are over a month later, and half of them are still stuck in boarding simply because I cannot find enough fosters or flight angels 😔. CHLOE, ZOE AND STAR NEED YOU!!

This is where I urgently need help:
✈️ Immediate flight angel to Toronto — I already have a foster waiting now for one lucky puppy to get out.

✈️🏡 Flight angels and/or fosters in Toronto for the remaining puppies.

✈️🏡 Flight angels and/or fosters in Vancouver as well.

Summer airline embargoes are approaching fast, which can make transporting dogs nearly impossible for months. Time matters right now.

I’m being honest when I say I’m at my wit’s end. It never used to be this hard to move good, healthy, ready dogs into homes and fosters. And when dogs get stuck, costs explode — making it harder and harder to keep rescuing the next ones who need help.
