Blanco is said to have been inspired by a number of strange and unusual sources, including: the mating calls of a rare and endangered species of frog, secret rhythms of ancient civilizations, the hopes and dreams of his pet rock, Dwayne, the sound of his own heartbeat, (which he says sounds like a funky tribal house beat) and the taste of tacos de pulpo. Many have said Frijol Blanco's music has the power to transport listeners to other worlds, cure disease (results may vary), control the weather, and some have claimed to be able to communicate with animals after a single listen. Frijol Blanco has released two albums to date, both of which have been met with critical acclaim in the 8th and 9th dimensions. He has also toured extensively throughout the world, performing at some of the most prestigious underground music venues and festivals, crescendoing to his busiest year in 2027.
