Today's Read: "Henry's Freedom Box: A True Story from the Underground Railroad" by Ellen Levine, illustrated by Kadir Nelson.
An engaging, hard to put down book, based on Henry Box Brown's true story. A touching story about enduring the hardships of slavery, and doing what it takes to live the dream of freedom. An absolute MUST read that teaches us about important historical social issues, empathy, diversity and keeping an open mind to reach our goals.

Celebrating this AMAZING musician/poet on his Nobel prize in Literature, and acknowledging how MUSIC and LITERATURE go hand in hand.
