Tolsa — the project behind the cover of the June–July issue of
Conceived as a home for Gabriel Orozco’s Atomist, the project explores how architecture can frame art, memory, and atmosphere into a singular spatial experience. In an issue dedicated to the cultural significance of football in Mexico, the painting becomes both centerpiece and narrative — connecting the intimacy of the home with a broader collective identity.

Alisio underwent a transformation as precise as it was spatial — emerging from this intervention as the hotel’s defining beach club. A surgical reconfiguration indoors opened the existing structure toward the sea, while a new system of timber pergolas — articulated across three distinct platforms — extended the program outward: a beach bar for craft cocktails, a stage animated by regional rhythms, and a collection of private cabanas where the Caribbean horizon becomes the only backdrop that matters.

Within walls of La Patrona, the architecture is defined by generous timber structures and vaulted ceilings, where
exposed beams span across large communal
spaces. The interiors balance rustic character
with understated elegance: stone fireplaces
anchor the living areas, long wooden tables
invite gatherings, and built-in shelving filled
with books and objects lends the spaces a
cultivated warmth.
