This initiative is around Circular Additive Manufacturing and the application in urban spaces. Circular AM is a new approach related to waste recovery and the creation of new products for cities. The use of these concepts separately provides with insights about the way to cycle materials back in the system and new approaches for local manufacturing. Combining different industries, food packaging can be transform to urban infrastructure as functional pieces. This procedure extend the life of the plastics used and combine different flows of industries, businesses and citizens. Honey climb is the first of a series of products around 3D printing and its application on cities. By yhe use of scanning, design and additive manufacturing Wageningen University & Research and Astro Mx join forces to develop circular and functional products. This initiative allow the actors to have a monitor of materials used and the future possibility to cycle it back again after usage (5 to 10 years).
