Tyre rotation is followed by balancing & wheel alignment. For NU engines, there is one more procedure needed which most are either not aware or neglected to do. This is the ASP calibration.
The NU K5 comes installed with MDPS (motor driven power steering) or EPS (electric power steering). This being the case, there is a need to carry out the ASP (absolute steering position) calibration after every wheel alignment change. The ASP is set to zero and is done electronically via the OBD under the steering. The actual setting takes just 5 mins & can be done at any Kia SC.
