Effective from 5th March 2022, the Health Protection Agency (HPA) have announced all vaccinated travelers arriving to the Maldives are NO LONGER required to present a negative PCR test upon arrival.

This is applicable to individuals who has completed the prescribed dose(s) of Covid-19 vaccine approved by the Maldives Food & Drug Authority or the World Health organization (WHO) and at least 14 days have passed since. Booster dose(s) are not required to be eligible for this exemption.

Children (above one year) who are not eligible for vaccination and individuals who have not completed the prescribed dose(s) of a Covid-19 vaccine, will still be required to present a negative PCR upon arrival to the Maldives, for which the sample must be taken no longer than 96 hours before the departure from the fist port of embarkation.

Tourists who spend their holiday in resorts in inhabited islands are no longer required to do a PCR test when departing from the respective inhabited islands.
