Pool Solutions

A pool party does not end when the last guest leaves. Your pool may still be dealing with the weekend.
Every swimmer adds what professionals call "bather load": sweat, sunscreen, body oils, cosmetics, small particles and extra movement in the water. More people also mean more splashing and debris. The filter and disinfectant therefore have more work to do, and the water may need attention even if it still looks clear.
Before guests arrive, check the water and baskets and make sure circulation is working well. Encourage a quick shower before swimming. Afterwards, remove debris, inspect the waterline, check the filter pressure according to your system, and test the water before making chemical adjustments.

Your pool level can drop even when there is no leak. In Mauritius, strong sun, warm conditions and wind moving across the surface can all speed up evaporation. A heated pool, frequent swimming and lots of splashing can add even more water loss.
There is no single number that is "normal" for every pool. An exposed coastal pool may behave very differently from a sheltered pool inland. The useful question is whether the loss matches your pool's usual pattern and the week's weather.
Check the level from the same marked point, at the same time of day. Note windy days, rainfall and heavy use. A correctly used pool cover can reduce evaporation when the pool is not in use, while good monitoring helps you spot a change early.
