🏆 Endurance, now a double award-winning documentary!

We’re proud to share that the film retracing the Endurance22 expedition — and the discovery of Shackleton’s legendary ship — has won two major awards:
🏅 Emmy Award for Outstanding Music Composition
🏅 Best Documentary at the Digital Broadcast Awards

Blending restored archives, AI reconstructions, and deep-sea imagery, the film connects Shackleton’s 1914 journey with the 2022 mission to find his ship under 3,000m of Antarctic ice.

At the heart of this modern-day feat: the subsea expertise of Deep Ocean Search, proud to have contributed to this extraordinary adventure — now streaming on Disney+.

And of course, a huge congratulation to our family friends of the broadcast team: little dot studios, National Geographic Documentary Films Monster Films. Well done our film director Jimmy Chin, Elizabeth Chai Vasarhelyi and Natalie Hewit.

What a weekend! 🌊
On Friday, Deep Ocean Search was at Les Grandes Voiles du Havre, where Jérémie Morizet and Maëva Onde shared the incredible story of Shackleton’s Endurance, lost in Antarctic ice and rediscovered in 2022 with the Endurance22 expedition.

On Saturday, at the Nautilus Festival in Cherbourg, the film The Wrecks Off Samar was screened — telling the story of the deepest shipwreck ever found: the USS Samuel B. Roberts, discovered at 6,895 meters with the support of Deep Ocean Search and the Falklands Maritime Heritage Trust.

Two historic missions, one deep commitment to ocean exploration 🌍
