I am a huge fan of oils. I absolutely love abhyanga, or oil massage. This includes self massage.
In āyurveda is nourishes the tissues. Oil is nourishing. It’s like nectar… rejuvenating. It’s perfect for Vata which can be dry, rough - and ungrounded.
This one has rose and other cooling and soothing herbs such as aloe vera and Amla which are all excellent for excess heat or pitta. Whether it’s because it’s summer and hot (and pitta accumulates) or due to excess heat during the premenstrual phase or hot flushes in perimenopause.
Speaking of female health I am also taking Shatavari. Which in āyurveda is often seen as the go-to for female and menstrual health - as well as perimenopause.
Obviously all depending on symptoms, constitution (prakruti) and current situation (vikruti).

Every class has all three. Every student carries all doshas, or five elements - in different proportions.
Ayurveda calls these the doshas: Vata, Pitta, and Kapha. And once you can see them: in your students, in the season, in the room… your teaching changes.
