The Inya Institute seeks a highly motivated, knowledgeable, and service-oriented Digital Resources and Information Intern who assists the institute’s team in producing and managing the digital resources and information that supports its training, research, heritage conservation, and fellowships programs and the dissemination of these activities. This includes working closely with the team as well as assisting guests, local and international, during their visit to the library, in their search for references.
The Digital Resources and Information Intern is expected to carry out all work in person at the Inya Institute’s office in Kamayut Township, Yangon.

🔸Create educational videos using Canva application;
🔸Create preliminary draft of quarterly newsletter using Adobe InDesign program based on existing formatting guidelines;
🔸Assist the team in translating from English to Myanmar some of the materials published online;
𝐷𝑖𝑔𝑖𝑡𝑎𝑙 𝑅𝑒𝑠𝑜𝑢𝑟𝑐𝑒 𝑀𝑎𝑛𝑎𝑔𝑒𝑚𝑒𝑛𝑡 (30%)
🔸Search the internet for web references and sources to be included in the newsletter and that can support the educational videos;
🔸Update and maintain the institute’s page;
🔸Manage the intake, maintenance, and sustainability of digitized materials that support the institute’s digital resource collections;
𝑂𝑡ℎ𝑒𝑟 𝑅𝑒𝑠𝑝𝑜𝑛𝑠𝑖𝑏𝑖𝑙𝑖𝑡𝑖𝑒𝑠 (10%)
🔸Assist the team in developing and carrying out projects, some of them being undertaken with local and international partners;
🔸Assist the team in planning and holding public events;
🔸Welcome and assist Myanmar and International visitors and library users in their search for library references.
𝐑𝐞𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐬𝐤𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞
🔹Excellent attention to detail;
🔹Excellent time management and organizational skills;
🔹Strong interest in acquiring new computer skills (Adobe InDesign);
🔹Strong interest in social sciences and humanities as they are related to Myanmar;
🔹Good English-language comprehension skills;
🔹Fluency in Myanmar language (especially excellent writing skills);
🔹Inquisitive mind;
🔹Good communication and interpersonal skills.
