Field Support Services Project Myanmar, Embassy of Canada to Myanmar organized a two-day Gender Training for our current partners.
The gender mainstreaming training aims to assist and equip the partners in introducing gender mainstreaming methodology in their projects by promoting gender equality efforts.
A strong, continued commitment to gender mainstreaming is one of the most effective means for our partners to support the promotion of gender equality at all levels - in budgeting, capacity development, data collection, creating awareness and other activities on the ground. This in turn ensures that women as well men can influence, participate in and benefit from their programming efforts.

What are the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence?
is an annual international campaign for the prevention and elimination of violence against women and girls.
Gender-based violence costs lives and has long-term impacts on individuals, families and communities. It can take many forms, such as physical, sexual, emotional, economic and online abuse.
This year’s theme is UNiTE! Activism to End Violence Against Women and Girls!
The UNiTE campaign invites everyone to engage, amplify the voices of women and girls, advocate for protection mechanisms, and promote the leadership of women and girls.
Canada works with local, national and multilateral partners, including civil society organizations, to address gender-based violence and empower women and girls.

✅Raising awareness among local communities in on the risks associated with the presence of explosive ordnances (EO).
The presence of EO in , feeds a situation of insecurity, and knowing how to recognize the signs of the presence of EO can save lives!
Through the 🇨🇦Canadian-funded , Myanmar Enhancement to Empower Tribal - MEET was able to deliver explosive ordnance risk education by reaching out to different groups in the affected Palatwa Township communities.
The organization provides mine risk education teaching by distributing leaflets in the communities where there is a risk of land mines. How?
👉by providing explosive ordnance risk education (EORE) to sensitize impacted communities at risk.
👉by educating how to adopt safer behaviors when facing explosive ordnances, recognizing, avoiding, and reporting suspicious items.
