Position Summary:
The HR Manager will lead and manage all human resources functions within the academic institution. The role ensures efficient HR operations, compliance with labor and education regulations, and promotes a positive work environment for faculty, administrative staff, and support personnel. The HR Manager plays a key role in workforce planning, talent management, and organizational development to support the institution’s academic mission.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Recruitment & Staffing:
Manage end-to-end recruitment processes for faculty, administrative, and support staff.
Develop job descriptions, post vacancies on appropriate platforms, and manage applicant tracking.
Coordinate interviews, assessments, and reference checks.
Ensure timely onboarding and induction for new employees.
2. HR Operations & Administration:
Oversee payroll processing, benefits administration, leave management, and attendance tracking.
Ensure compliance with labor laws, institutional policies, and regulatory requirements.
Maintain accurate and confidential employee records and HR databases.
3. Employee Relations & Engagement:
Serve as the point of contact for employee queries and concerns.
Foster a positive work environment and organizational culture.
Implement staff engagement initiatives and employee recognition programs.
4. Performance Management & Development:
Lead performance appraisal cycles and provide guidance to managers on evaluations.
Identify training needs and coordinate staff development programs.
Support career progression and succession planning for key positions.
5. Policy & Compliance:
Develop, review, and implement HR policies and procedures.
Ensure compliance with labor laws, education regulations, and internal guidelines.
Provide advice to senior management on HR-related matters.
6. Reporting & Analytics:
Prepare HR reports, metrics, and dashboards for senior management.
Analyze workforce trends and provide recommendations for improvement.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s preferred).
Minimum 5 years of HR experience, preferably in an academic or educational setting.
Strong knowledge of labor laws, HR practices, and institutional policies.
Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in HR software, Microsoft Office, and reporting tools.
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
