Bradley Hindle has been involved in professional squash for our 20 years and puts all his expertise and experience into his academy that is developing the next generation of juniors, world elite players and anyone wanting to improve their game. Born in Australia to an Australian/Maltese family, Bradley grew up playing many top level junior sports from rugby to surf life saving, however he found hi
s mark in squash and became one of Australia’s top juniors by under 11. In 2003 after finishing his studies he was guided by legendary coach Joe Shaw and made the move to Europe to work with David Palmer and Shaun Moxham to take his game to a new level and continue his development in the sport. After several years of refining his skills and ‘learning the ropes’ (which he states he is always learning something new everyday)
Hindle-Deguara won many titles both European local and professional events, including the first ever Slovenian Open, where he blitzed the opponents only dropping one game on the way to lifting the historic title. In doing so he started to make a real name for himself amongst the professional squash community. Bradley is one of Malta’s top athletes, and in 2009 led the Malta team to victory winning gold at the Small nation games in the teams event and taking the gold in the individual event. He received recognition for his commitment to Malta by being awarded Gold achievement at the 2009 Malta sports awards. Bradley competed respectively and prominently for Malta in singles and doubles events at the 2010 Commonwealth games Delhi. In recognition for his efforts, performances and results he has been awarded the Gold recognition award 2 years running by the Malta Olympic committee, Something Bradley treasures highly in his trophy cabinet. In June 2011 at the GSSE games in Lichtenstein,
the spot light shone on Bradley as he was given
the honour of holding the Maltese flag at the
opening ceremony, a honour remembered as one
of his proudest sporting memories. He followed it up
with ‘flawless’ performances by not dropping even a
single set in eight matches and in return winning
two gold medals, his first gold medal coming in the
teams event with Bradley describing the team as ‘The best team performance he had the honour of being involved with,’ and then winning his second gold in the individual event. Hindle-Deguara’s efforts was recognised by Malta’s Olympic committee, Malta squash and described as a ‘Great ambassador to the sport.’
Bradley has become a prolific Commonwealth games competitor, competing at the 2010 (Delhi India) and 2014 games (Glasgow Scotland), due to his commitment and dedication to the team Malta has become a world team to reckoned with. Since retiring from full time competitive squash Bradley puts his years of knowledge expertise in his BHD 'Art of Squash' academy. With the sole objective of making all his pupils learn the art the of game to ensure they reach their full potential. BHD academy, has specialised and specific squash seasonal programs in Malta, to help kids reach their best to further their career through squash and education and or professional squash.
