What does a textile girl do on her day off? Go to a museum to look at more textiles!!! (Obviously 🤣)
These are from an exhibit at the Chicago Art Institute on Moroccan.& Afghani embroidery. I don't think the exhibit is worth making a trip for, but if you happen to be there already, poke your head in :)

Chicago Fiber+Fabric Craft Festival is next weekend!!! This gorgeous firebird shirt is for my class on April 30 on Using Yarns in Nontraditional Ways!! I will show you how to make this and a number of other really cool items using those beautiful yarns you see everywhere!!
