🔟 Why do you want to know?

We use the Past Continuous to talk about:

🔮1. Two actions happening at the same time
in the past.

I was studying while he was making dinner.
While my mother was washing the dishes, my

🔮2. A longer action in the past which is
interuppted by a shorter action or a specific
time.

We were playing when it suddenly began to rain.
Yesterday at 4 we were playing football.

3. An annoying and repeated actions in the past.

He was always coming late.
She was always complaining.

We use the Past Simple to talk about:
