I love this woman. I loved doing this podcast. It’s so frightening to reveal the hard bits, the fears, the flaws, the failures, and, it is the only way to truly set ourselves free. Out of great pain can come great joy, if we are brave enough to be honest, and real, and reveal all the things we worry will have other people thinking we are not good enough. We are always enough.

Years ago I used to joke with friends that I would know I had made it when I got a spread in Hello! Magazine.

Funnily enough, I did get that spread in Hello! Magazine, and it was just as brilliant as I thought it would be, except it didn’t really feel as if I’d made it. Which is of course, the thing with constantly setting yourself a goal. You tell yourself that when you achieve that goal, then you’ll finally know you’re enough, but more often than not, as soon as you achieve the goal, you just move the goalposts, so you spend your life chasing a happiness or fulfilment that is always, always, just a little out of reach.

However, having the legendary Richard Young take the pictures at my book launch was another of those secret dreams, and it was pretty fu***ng epic, if I do say so myself. I haven’t seen his pictures yet, but I know they will be glorious, and I kept pinching myself as I saw him moving through the party, snapping pic after pic.
