Hi, I am Megan 🌺

Currently I am finishing up my doctorate’s degree in Integrative Medicine. I have a bachelor’s degree in psychology and holistic health sciences, a holistic health coach certification and a master’s in natural medicine

I have always been intrigued by the mind, psychology, programming, conditioning, pattern recognition, or more easily said~ what and why we do the things we do as humans

What changed my entire lens of the health and wellness industry was my junior year of college at KU when I was taking an abnormal psychology class

We were studying the placebo effect and looking at case studies for different mental health disorders and the medication treatments were no better than the placebo

Soo I got to thinking, what is this powerful mechanism within us that activates our own self healing response?

From there, my deep dive into my own self healing journey began

I felt that I could not separate my nature into these separate categories but rather they were one complex piece of the whole

I could not untangle my spirituality, purpose, nutrition, exercise, social atmosphere and environmental dynamics from each other

I saw how deeply interconnected the body and mind were and I simply could not continue my education in traditional clinical psychology

After I graduated from KU, I got a job as a behavioral health specialist helping people transition from the streets and mental hospitals back into “society”

My job was to make sure they were taking their medication and going to all of their therapeutic appointments

I kept being surprisingly astonished~ no where was there a focus on diet, exercise, meditation, caffeine reduction or getting outside

We were simply keeping their symptoms managed

That’s when it hit me that a different approach to care is so absolutely necessary for true healing and recovery

That care is exactly what the basis of my work is~ a delivery of insight that addresses you as a whole multidimensional human being 🦋🌈☀️🌱🌀
