Eve's Story of Hope - Recovery from Long Covid, ME/CFS, POTS and more 27/02/2026

I learned the hard way just how powerfully the nervous system shapes our health.

Your nervous system is always working to protect you. Not just from physical danger, but from emotional and psychological stress too. The problem is, when it gets stuck in flight, flight or freeze mode, that threat response stays switched on. And over time, that can show up as persistent, chronic symptoms.

What changed everything for me was understanding how to support my nervous system. Helping it feel safe again, recover from life’s pressures, and return to balance. That’s really at the heart of healing chronic mind-body symptoms.

I personally recovered from ME/CFS, Long Covid, POTS and other life-altering diagnoses using mind-body approaches grounded in nervous system science.

Social media is great in small doses, but it isn’t neutral.

It’s designed to hook your nervous system, drain your attention, and keep you scrolling long after your energy is gone.

For people living with chronic illness: CFS, Long Covid, post-viral conditions etc.
That cost is not abstract.

Energy is medicine and your attention is currency. And overstimulation can worsen symptoms, crashes, and your mental health.

That’s why “just scrolling” can leave you exhausted, anxious, foggy, or emotionally depleted.

We believe healing requires using your energy wisely and intentionally, not feeding it into systems built to extract it.

So we created a dedicated space instead:

✨ a calm platform + forums for people with chronic illness
✨ support without overwhelm
✨ guidance, lived experience, science, and recovery-focused conversations
✨ no algorithms fighting for your nervous system

Your energy is precious.

Your healing deserves environments that protect it ❤️‍🩹

Save this for those harder days 💚

“Just keep trying” is often said with good intentions.
But effort isn’t neutral when you're exhausted, overwhelmed, grieving, or healing.

Sometimes the bravest thing isn’t pushing harder, it’s pausing.
It’s adjusting the pace. It’s choosing self-care over pressure.

A gentler approach doesn’t mean giving up.
It means listening to your nervous system and your body.

No blame here. No callouts.
Just an invitation to rethink advice and approaches

If today feels heavy, you’re not failing.
You’re human. And you’re allowed to go gently.

🙅🏽‍♀️ If you’re living with chronic illness, your body isn’t broken. It’s trying to protect you.

🎓 The symptoms, the fatigue, the flares… they’re part of a language many of us were never taught to understand.

🧠 Through brain retraining and neuroplasticity, it’s possible to change how the nervous system responds.

💬 And it’s easier when you’re surrounded by people who get it.

Recovery Road is a supportive online space to share stories, learn from others, and explore new paths to recovery together. 💚

We're here when, you're ready
