The Current Wave

In 1925, the people of Nome were terrified.
Children were dying from Diphtheria, and the medicine was hundreds of miles away.
Snowstorms made travel nearly impossible.
But one sled dog refused to stop.
His name was Balto.
Through ice, darkness, and freezing wind, he ran across Alaska to bring hope to a town that desperately needed it.
And because of him, many children lived to see another day. 🐕
