We like to think - the interior is one of them. Long and windy renovation process together with our team. But the result is worth it!

The apartment in the Quiet Centre had lost most of its authentic substance during the turbulent 1990s. Many interior elements had vanished into oblivion. In their place came tasteless mahogany doors, artificial stone finishes, whirlpool bathtubs, and other forms of the era’s “luxury.”

When work began, our main task was to preserve as much of the remaining value as possible - the decorative ceiling paintings and the fireplace - and to reopen the bricked-up openings.

All new elements are a paraphrase of the values of that period. The glass doors feature the flowing lines characteristic of Art Nouveau. The red veneer has been given a refined green-grey tone. Small storage rooms have been replaced with austere built-in furniture.

While athletes aim for gold as the ultimate achievement, we, as architects, together with our client, construction and engineering team, achieved platinum. Both Magdelēnas kvartāls office buildings on Antonijas Street received the highest rating.

The LEED Platinum certificate confirms that the buildings meet outstanding sustainability standards – they feature solutions that significantly reduce energy and water consumption, use environmentally friendly materials, ensure high indoor air quality, and often integrate renewable energy sources.
